Benjamin Walker BSc (Hons), MRICS
Benjamin Walker has served as Associate Partner and Chartered Building Surveyor since July 2018, bringing over 14 years of experience to the Project and Building Consultancy team at Cavendish Maxwell. He has successfully advised major top-tier international clients across the world on some of the largest projects over the years on all aspects of acquisitions/disposals, building maintenance, lifecycle costing, development and building condition reports.
Prior to his role at Cavendish Maxwell, Benjamin headed the building consultancy department of the New Zealand arm of a global property firm. He was instrumental in developing core disciplines such as building pathology, condition reports, technical due diligence, lifecycle costing and project management, utilising his expertise to lead key refurbishment projects from inception to completion. He also has extensive experience in the UK and the wider Middle East, covering building consultancy services across the GCC for a variety of projects and asset classes for the largest developers in the region. Benjamin has also advised clients from China, Singapore and Australia on some of the largest property acquisitions in both New Zealand and Australia.
Benjamin is a RICS-accredited Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) assessor and works with Cavendish Maxwell’s Project and Building Consultancy team to provide high-quality training and guidance, ensuring consistently distinguished standards of service for the company and the wider surveying profession in the UAE.
Sunil has been with Cavendish Maxwell since 2018, bringing nearly 20 years of expertise and in-depth knowledge in a broad range of building surveying disciplines, advising clients in Europe, Canada, China, the GCC and the Far East. As Associate Partner with the Project and Building Consultancy team, he is responsible for specialist services across a wide range of building types including domestic and high-rise residential, commercial, and industrial properties.
Prior to his tenure at Cavendish Maxwell, Sunil worked for various companies, from niche practices, local authorities and multi-national corporations to client-side development and construction. He graduated from the University of Central England with a building surveying degree with honours in 1997 and was elected for chartership with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) in 2000. Since then, he has served as associate director with Anstey Horne & Co, a London-based company established in 1795, and also worked with leading developer and contractor in the UK, Galliford Try, as their head of building consultancy. More recently, he has advised clients from Austria, Canada, China, Oman, Russia, Singapore, Thailand, Turkey, the UK and the UAE. Sunil’s professional knowledge encompasses project management and contract administration, fire risk assessments, reinstatement cost assessments, insurance reinstatement works, construction monitoring and Landlord and Tenant.
Sunil also delivered seminars for RICS and continues to promote the speciality of building surveying throughout the Middle East among colleagues and peers.
